What’s New in Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10.1? Installs and Runs on
Microsoft Vista 64-bit systems Runs on many operating systems,
including Vista 64-bit In addition to running on 32-bit operating
systems, Dragon is now available within a Vista 64-bit environment.
Customers using many of the latest laptops and desktop PCs that ship
with the Vista 64-bit operating system can install and run Dragon in
the same manner as other operating systems.
Extends Dragon’s Web Capabilities to Internet Explorer 8
RC1 Dictation and voice commands make it faster and easier to use the
Web In addition to Internet Explorer 6 and 7, customers can now use
full Dragon functionality in Internet Explorer 8.
This includes the ability to dictate text and use a range of natural
language voice commands to conveniently navigate Web pages. In Internet Explorer 8, customers can also leverage Dragon Voice Shortcuts for quick and easy Web search using commands such as “Search the Web for financial management resources” or “Search maps for Italian restaurants in Boston.” Extends Dragon’s Web Capabilities to Mozilla Firefox 3 Dictation and voice commands make it faster and easier to use the Web Dragon 10.1 is fully compatible with Firefox 3.
This includes the ability to dictate text and use a range of

Firefox 3 customers can also leverage Dragon Voice Shortcuts for quick

Enhanced Documentation Improved documentation, Help files and Tutorials
help to make Dragon easier to set up and use A newly developed
“Commands Quick Reference” sheet highlighting the most useful and most
popular voice commands is now posted on the Nuance Web site and is
included on the version 10.1 DVD. The online Help, which includes
reference material, trouble-shooting information and step-by-step
procedures, has been updated to support new features and clarify key
topics.
In addition, the tutorial delivers enhanced navigation
capabilities, as well as more details and tips about product features.
Upgrade from Version 8, 9 and 10 Dragon version 10.1 will install over
version 8, version 9 and version 10 Existing Dragon customers can
upgrade to Dragon 10.1 from version 8, version 9 and version 10.0. User
profiles created in previous versions of Dragon can be opened in Dragon
10.1, with all customizations preserved. Service Pack 1 Updates Version 10.1 includes new features and enhancements introduced within Service Pack 1 All enhancements included with Dragon 10 Service Pack 1,
launched in February 2009, are included in Dragon 10.1. Specific
functionality includes the ability to disable some of the new Quick
Voice Formatting commands (cut/delete and copy), improved ability to
anchor the Results box, improved correction handling, refinements to
the Accuracy Tuning and Data Collection features, and improved number
formatting. Service Pack 1
also addressed concerns that have been raised regarding installation,
correction and data distribution. In addition, the ability to use
Dragon commands effectively within Lotus Notes 8 has been improved.
